How Doctors in San Antonio Get More Patients
San Antonio is growing fastest just past the city line, and close to a third of residents speak Spanish at home. Here is how to reach both.

The San Antonio metro passed 2.8 million people in 2025, up 10% since 2020, according to the Census Bureau. The most striking growth, though, is just past the city line.
Growth Past the City Line
- Comal County (New Braunfels): up 29.6% since 2020.
- Kendall County (Boerne): up 20.3%.
- Bexar County: up 7.5%, adding 150,765 people.
New residents of New Braunfels and Boerne want doctors close to home. Many search for care where they live first, and drive into the city only when they have to. If you see patients from the Hill Country or along I-35, your website should speak to them by name.
Care Is Following the Patients
The South Texas Medical Center covers more than 900 acres, and University Health plans new hospitals at Palo Alto and Retama in 2027. As the big systems expand outward, independent physicians who are easy to find in those same communities can meet patients first.
Speak to San Antonio in Both Languages
Close to 30% of San Antonio-area residents speak Spanish at home, according to the Census Bureau, and the City of San Antonio is about 64% Hispanic. A practice website with Spanish versions of its key pages, condition pages and contact form welcomes families that an English-only site quietly turns away.
In San Antonio, being easy to find in Spanish is not a nice extra. It is half the conversation.
